The Val di Fiemme, in the heart of the Trentino Dolomites, is cradled in greenery along the banks of the River Avisio. Beautiful and enchanting in summer, in winter it has indescribable charm.
The Dolomite peaks that surround the valley are white from the beginning of autumn and in December a mantle of snow covers the whole landscape. The cross-country and downhill slopes and the snowboarding area are full of people from all over the world.
Eleven local authorities make up the Val di Fiemme District: Cavalese, Capriana, Carano, Castello-Molina di Fiemme, Daiano, Panchià, Predazzo, Tesero, Valfloriana, Varena and Ziano, and are all involved in the Nordic Ski organising committee.
