Candidature for FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013: VAL DI FIEMME is ready again!

On the next 27th and 28th August a delegation of the International Ski Federation (FIS) will be in Val di Fiemme to acknowledge the status of the candidature of the Valley. Val di Fiemme has already hosted successfully the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 and 2003.

FIS inspection will be divided into two sessions: on the 27th August four separate groups of delegates will visit the Cross Country Stadium in Lago di Tesero, the Ski Jumping Stadium in Predazzo, the Press Center area in Cavalese and some hotels in the Valley.

The following day a common meeting is planned in Cavalese. In this meeting the bidding Organizing Committee will present the strategy for the development of the World Championships 2013.

The Executive Council of the Local Organising Committee will be present together with the Italian FIS Council Member Gaetano Coppi, the President of the Italian Winter Sport Federation (Giovanni Morzenti) and the main local Authorities Lorenzo Dellai, Tiziano Mellarini and Mauro Gilmozzi (Province of Trento)

During this two days FIS will analyse the Val di Fiemme strategy and projects for 2013 Event.
The visit will examine the Sport areas and the communication areas, the accommodation capacity and quality and the guidelines that the O.C. wants to set up in order to organize a third unforgettable World Championship.

The bidding Committee has prepared an accurate document trying to promote and underline the key successful points of our candidature. All the Valley is enthusiastic and ready to host the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013!
