The facilities at Lago di Tesero for cross-country skiing and at Predazzo for ski jumping have for many years been the setting for numerous Nordic Combined events which have improved the areas, being modernised after the successful world event in 2003.
The arrangement of the slopes, and the set up for mass starts and sprints, including the night time, and the two ski jumps, HS106 and HS 134, allow the Combined Nordic athletes to confront the races in optimum conditions.
The availability of 7,200 hotel beds and over 31,800 beds in other accommodation in the range of very few kilometres is also of fundamental importance. They provide a comfortable stay and avoid long journeys for the athletes and technicians.
